Documentary on RTV Oost
Last September RTV Oost reporter Sander Jongsma, journalist Jan Braakman and Margriet Dekkers of Twente University, travelled to Canada to interview family members of the soldiers killed in the second World War. The soldiers are all buried on the Holten Canadian Cemetery. What impact did this war have on the lives of those left behind until this very day
One of the compelling and moving stories is about Wolf Solkin and Bill O’Donnell. These best friends made a promise: if one would die, the other would visit his friend’s beloved ones to tell them how much he loved them. You can watch how it ends in this documentary.
