Our information center is freely accessible to everyone and runs entirely on volunteers. We need support for funding. We are very happy with our sponsors. What motivates them to contribute? Dominique van der Valk from Restaurant & Hotel Hoog Holten explains.

Where do you know the information center?

Wilco and I have been owners of Hoog Holten since January 2025. We also live in Holten, but we are not from there. We heard about the Canadian Cemetery almost immediately and went to see it. That made an impression. We were moved by what happened here in the past. And surprised how incredibly well everything has been kept and the large number of volunteers who are committed to this.

What does this place mean to you?

We think it's important to reflect on the past and understand what these soldiers have meant for our freedom. It is important that young people also get to know these stories. We think it's an impressive place.

Do you recommend our information center?

We regularly take friends out for a walk to the information center and the cemetery to share our positive experience. We also recommend that our guests go there if they ask for beautiful walking routes and activities in the area.

Since when and why do you support the information center?

Hoog Holten has been supporting the information center for a long time. Of course, we have continued that support since the takeover in January. We like that this special place is there and is being honored and that the stories about the soldiers who fought for our freedom will continue to be told.
