During a celebratory event on September 2nd, no fewer than 15 checks were awarded to associations and foundations running social projects that strengthen the community. Our information center had the honor of not only hosting the event but also receiving a wonderful contribution of €7,500 ourselves.

Thanks to this support, we can take a significant step toward making our information center more sustainable. We aim to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, generate and store our own energy, and ensure a better indoor climate for our volunteers and visitors.

We are incredibly grateful to Rabobank for their trust and congratulate all the other initiative holders on their generous contributions. It was an inspiring and enjoyable gathering, which also gave us the opportunity to showcase the role our information center plays in keeping our history alive: the liberation of Northeast Netherlands during WWII by the Canadians.
