Tree compensation

Last month, 24 trees were planted back on 1200 square meters of land on Ep Krikkink's land on the Helhuizenweg. Three sweet chestnuts, two walnut trees and 19 summer oaks have been planted. These trees will soon form the basis for a completely new piece of forest in Holten.

Underplanting

In addition, around 450 pieces of forest plants were added as underplanting. This has been installed under the trees so that a real forest will soon be created and so that relatively little maintenance needs to be done. The forest plants that have been applied include 100 pieces of oak, 75 pieces of Guelder rose and hazel, 50 pieces of hawthorn, currant, buckthorn and mountain ash and 25 pieces of birch.
